Coming SOONish: DIY Pedals Directory

A one stop shop for all things DIY pedals.

What is it?

A DMOZ-style directory of curated, categorized links — a guided tour for newcomers and a central resource for everyone else. People don’t know what they don’t know, so this site makes pedal building discoverable.

Google works fine if you already know what to search for, and if you’re willing to dig past SEO-bait garbage burying the great timeless articles. A directory makes knowledge browsable, with commentary on each link so you know what you’re getting before you click.

What’s your angle?

Honestly? It’s a passion project — the community needs this. We (MAS Effects) do sell DIY pedal products, and yes, more people in the hobby means more potential customers. But we’ll list every reputable vendor, not just ourselves. Rising tides lift all boats.

The entire directory will be open source on GitHub, because this is a community effort and the fruits of it should belong to everyone.

Want to help?

Collecting, categorizing, and curating links is a big job, and we need volunteers! You’ll be able to submit links and corrections, or join as an editor with access to the full CMS. This thing gets better the more people are involved — come be part of building something the DIY pedal community has needed for a long time.

Or just sign up to be notified when it launches.
